Amazing book. If you are into all things mafia, and have an extensive library of books on the subject, then THIS book NEEDS to be added. It is truly an insightful history into the only "Ivy League Family" centering mostly on the last and greatest of the New York mafia dons. There will never be another Godfather, Don, or Boss like the Chin, his name will forever be associated with the most historical figures within the New York underworld along the likes of Luciano, Costello, Genovese, and Gambino. Great book. Really enjoyed reading it and I have read a lot of mafia related books. Real good look inside Chin's life. If you like reading about the Mafia than this book is for you.
Well written book on organized crime detailing Vincent the Chin, if your interested in these types of books this one will not disappoint you.
Awesome information about a Mob Boss so secret there isn’t much public knowledge. Recommend it to anyone to read well written
One of the few books on the mafia that I actually believe the information the author when reading it.
Very interesting and truthful look at a bygone era of a New York that most of us miss very much.
Did not keep me interested. A lot of jumping around and hard to remember all the Mob guy names and relevance.
The author takes too long developing an image of Gigante's dark side and once done really doesn't delve deeply into The Chin's criminal activities. I almost found myself being sympathetic to a man many characterize as one of the most violent of the major mobsters. Someone with an interest in all things Mafioso will enjoy this book. I did.
