This book has a different storyline that I didn't expect. It kept me wanting more. I wish there was more to the ending...what would become of Katy? There is to be a sequal and I can't wait to read it. This book made me think if I were Sandra would I treat Lady the same. The sequal is: "Trouble Rides a Fast Horse" by Elizabeth Sellers.

I enjoyed the horses' perspectives both Katy's as a girl with horse perceptions and instincts and Tommy's as all horse. Of the three look-in-side chapters, the second is by far the most representative of the whole book. If you liked that chapter and horses you will probably enjoy the story.

I didn't see any formatting or editing problems.

A more accurate rating would be 3 and a half stars (I liked it mildly) but I didn't mind rounding up as I think it was intended for young people.
